A pale, almost luminous blue bar gradually deepens in colour towards the very ruffled margins which taper to pointed tips. The six or seven deeply textured tepals also have a hint of rose-pink along the bar when first open. The contrasting stamens have white filaments and dark wine-red anthers. It is suitable for planting in a container or the garden.
