One of the best blue clematis with large 8.0cm to 15.0cm, sky-blue flowers with a touch of pink near the base of each sepal and a boss of light-green stamens. Growing 3.0m to 4.0m in height and flowering from mid-summer to early-autumn this lovely older variety continues to bring pleasure to gardeners around the world.

Raised by Francisque Morel of France in 1885 it has received the Royal Horticultural Society 'Award of Garden Merit' for its outstanding qualities.
